Website Security
How do I secure my website?
Website security is a high priority in serving our clients. We provide several methods of securing either your entire website or specific content. It depends upon your specific needs.
Global Security
We can provide, install and configure a SSL Certificate for your entire domain. This SSL (Secure Socket Layer) creates an encryption between your site and the server whereby it becomes nearly impossible for data to be compromised. Installation of an SSL Certificate is recommended in scenarios where you will be collecting confidential information from your customers.
Password Protected Directories
If required by your project we can password protect specific file directories which contain data that you need to be kept safe but also still available to visitors with the proper login credentials. These password protected directories are typically accessed thru the use of an ftp client.
Brute Force Protection
Our server employs brute force protection which detects numerous failed log attempts to a control panel or protected area of a site and then blocvks the IP address of the user attempting to gain access. It thens notifies us immediately of the failed attempt whereby the ip address may be blacklisted form ever seeing our server again. If it simply a case ofg a forgotten password, the user will be able to re-attempt access after a 10 minute period or request a copy of their password to be sent to the email address on file with us.
Email Encryption
All email addresses that appear anywhere within the website content or forms are automatically encrypted to block email harvesters from collecting email addresses for use in spam campaigns.
We accept all major credit cards and paypal for services rendered.
